Building on @ethan_tay30, we cut slips by moving label verification upstream: test sign-off triggers a scan that prints GS1s and sets ‘ship-ready pending,’ and packout can’t print the BOL or stage until a scale scan writes actual weight/dims and flips it to ‘ship-ready’; anything not flipped by 3:10 auto-rolls to next day. If you don’t have a cuber, a Bluetooth floor scale plus a dims table works fine.
Quick example: we added a ‘pack ETA’ timestamp at QC pass that auto compares to the 3:30 pm cutoff; anything projected past 14:45 flips to a ‘miss risk’ board and the packaging lead reassigns labor within 10 minutes.
