I need a tool that can balloon complex drawings and correctly auto-extract 300+ characteristics, export clean AS9102 Rev C, and link each line to gage IDs for traceability. Our Bluebeam + spreadsheet setup is too error-prone for flight hardware lots and won’t hold up under audit. What are you using that meets AS9100/NADCAP expectations and survives dense 100% characteristic ballooning?
@OP We ditched Bluebeam + spreadsheets — — for High QA Inspection Manager; it balloons dense prints, auto-extracts “300+ characteristics,” exports Rev C clean, and ties each line to a calibrated gage ID so our NADCAP audit stopped nitpicking traceability. Caveat: OCR chokes on low‑res PDFs, so we rescan or pull PMI when possible. Quick look here: https://www.highqa.com — would that cover your flight hardware lots?
We use InspectionXpert for ballooning/auto-extract and Rev C output, then map a custom “Gage ID” column that pulls from GAGEtrak via a nightly CSV so each characteristic is tied to a tool — passed our last NADCAP audit. It handles “300+ characteristics” fine if the PDF is vector; , raster scans and dense GD&T still need some cleanup. If you want it all-in-one, @amelia8671’s High QA pick is slick, but it ran pricier for us.
